Solution Information
Data Migration Utilities Description:

A series of processing modules which correlated data from various systems, including text files, databases, spreadsheets into a cohesive set of data for use in a newer integrated Telecommunications system.

Project:

Development, testing, implementation and support performed by Matt Gartner.  Use of Microsoft Access 97 to import, parse and fill appropriate tables.  Processing performed according to migration validation rules.  Output formatted for new system input interface.

Development of an automated data input facility for information updates from external sources into AS/400 sessions.

Land Document Merging Automation Description:

A system for extracting data from the production Land system (LandPlus) for the purpose of A&D (Acquisitions and divestitures) of held properties.

Project:

System analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support performed by Matt Gartner. Started with Application Framework V2.0 (An inhouse framework for contructing applications). Utilizing ODBC connections to 20+ Oracle tables in LandPlus, and DDE (Dynamic data exchange) automation with Microsoft Word to generate appropriate legal documents for each transaction. Access 2.0 front-end, and auxiliary tables for sale data in Access back-end. Later converted to Access 97. According to client, provides a minimum of $250,000 saving per year over prior manual process. 25 Users.

Dental Laboratory Work Order Processing Description:

A system for tracking work orders and materials used in dental prosthetics.   Provided billing, invoice generation, payment tracking

Project:

System analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support performed by Matt Gartner.  Developed in Access 2.0 which was used as front-end/back-end for system.  Four users.

Reservoir Communications Modeling Description:

A system for predicting the flow of oil and gas between underground reservoirs being tapped, allowing estimates up to 200 years into the future for reserves.

Project:

System analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support performed by Matt Gartner. Started with Application Framework V1.0 (See above). Conversion of Fortran code and formulation from scientific journal into data structures, and processing functions within Access 2.0, later upgraded to Access 97. Three Users

Drilling Scheduler Description:

A management tool for co-ordinating and scheduling exploration drilling.

Project:

System analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support performed by Matt Gartner. Started with Application Framework V2.0 (See above). Utilizing Gantt charting OCX control for scheduling, Oracle7 (via ODBC) for back-end, Access 97 for front-end. Additional features included change auditing, extensive security, extensive chart reports and in-place editing on Gantt OCX control. 10 Users.

Real-Time Air Traffic Control System Prototype Description:

A test system to verify the viability of using client-server technology to develop real-time, nation-wide air traffic control systems.

Project:

Partial Development performed by Matt Gartner.   Powerbuilder 4.0 used as front-end, Microsoft SQL Server 6.0 as back-end.  Use of Visual C++, Fortran conversion to assist in communications processing.
